What does homebased bakery mean? Home based bakery means that I cook out of my home kitchen. All products are homemade and not prepared in an inspected food establishment. I follow all Oregon Cottage Food Laws and I do have an Oregon Certified Food Handler's Card.
Are you really a dedicated gluten free bakery? Yes! My kitchen is 100% gluten free and I do my best to check (and double check) that every ingredient is safe for my daughter (who has celiac disease) as well as all of my clients. I do a lot of research using various apps and resources to make sure the ingredients are gluten free. I am fully aware of the dangers of cross contamination and know that it only takes a small amount to gluten someone, therefore our kitchen is fully gluten free! If I wouldn't feed it to my daughter, I wouldn't feed it to you!
I don't have to eat gluten free, will I still like your cakes? Absolutely! As someone who grew up eating gluten, I know what a good gluten filled cake tastes like. And, I've tasted many gluten free baked goods that taste like they are gluten free. Because of this, and because I do not want my daughter to ever feel deprived of eating a delicious cake or cupcake, I've researched and played with many recipes, and I've done my best to make sure that my daughter, and all of you, will not miss the gluten!
Where are you located? Just outside of Springfield, OR. I deliver throughout Lane County, Oregon. If you're outside of Lane County, please let me know and I'll see what I can do!
